SPST 228 Writing Lab II
This 1-credit interdisciplinary, supplemental instruction course will support and assist Educational Development Program students in a variety of areas, including: academic planning, time management, reading comprehension, and writing process. SPST 228 is an intermediate level course for students who wish to reinforce and advance their learning skills and cognitive tools for higher-level research processing. (Students who feel that they need an introductory level course to develop these skills should consider taking SPST 128 first.) Furthermore, SPST 228 will introduce universal research techniques used across a variety of scholarly disciplines such as source evaluation, citing, avoiding plagiarism, synthesizing information, and proper formatting.
