EDU 575 Using Educational Research to Improve Instruction: Reading Comprehension

This is a qualitative research course with an emphasis on the latest trends in comprehension instruction for literacy specialists, and ways to design comprehension curriculum with a social justice focus. Students will utilize educational research to identify stages of comprehension development through developmental continuums and will study educational theory related to social action as curriculum and apply that theory to create their own unique comprehension unit.
