Minor Requirements

Completion of the interdisciplinary minor requires a minimum of 21 credit hours. Up to 6 credit hours of transfer credit may be applied to the minor, based on approval by the coordinator. No more than 9 credit hours should be used to fulfill the requirements of the student’s major. Students declaring the Women’s and Gender Studies minor may use past courses retroactively after consultation with the coordinator.

  • Any WGST-prefix course may count as an elective in the minor, including WGST 430-Independent Study and WGST 490-Internship
  • Additional courses, including special topics courses in WGST and courses from multiple disciplines, will be called out each semester as counting toward elective credit in the minor.  Students should consult with the coordinator regarding approved courses to complete the program.
