The Communication Minor emphasizes theoretical and applied perspectives, giving students a broad understanding of human and mass communication processes. The program explores how individuals, groups, mass media, organizations, and societies communicate to address needs, solve problems, and achieve goals. In response to the rapid evolution of media and communication technologies, the minor equips students with essential skills to navigate and critically engage with various communication contexts, including human and digital communication, enabling them to understand and influence interactions across diverse settings.
The minor requires 21 credit hours, allowing students to tailor their coursework to their interests while developing key communication competencies.
A grade of C or better is required for a course to satisfy a major requirement.
