Liberal Arts
Liberal Arts students (commonly referred to as undecided/undeclared) are students who are exploring major options offered at Fredonia. Liberal Arts students at Fredonia are enrolled into the Academic Exploration Program, where students have the opportunity to choose from four focus areas (1. Business, Management, & Industry, 2. Science, Technology & Mathematics, 3. Social & Behavioral Sciences, 4. Arts & Humanities). The Academic Exploration Program offers programmatic and professional guidance, all of which is designed to help students acclimate to the campus, explore interests, build connections, and make informed major and career decisions.
Declaration of a major is not required until the student earns 60 credit hours. Professional Academic Advisors from Academic Advising Services are the primary advisors for Liberal Arts students and their offices are located on the fourth floor in the Carnahan-Jackson wing of Reed Library.
