The common core of fundamental courses in the Computer Information Systems program provides essential emphasis on theory, practice and applications.  Students majoring in Computer Information Systems will also complete a track in Systems Development, a track in Systems Management, or, in consultation with their advisor, will select five additional courses chosen from an approved list.  The System Development track prepares graduates for careers in information systems design and development of typical business and commercial computing sectors.  The System Management track prepares graduates for management and utilization of information systems and technology.  Those students who opt to select additional coursework instead of a specific track will need to take two CSIT courses at the 300-level, two CSIT courses at the 400-level, and one course in CSIT, BUAD, or ECON at the 200-level.
