BIOL 481 Advances in Genetic Analysis

Advances in Genetic Analysis satisfies an upper-level elective requirement for biology majors. You will be challenged to apply what you have learned in your foundational courses such as Genetics and Biochemistry to study modern topics in the broad category of genetics. You will read primary and secondary sources and be required to engage in discussion about the readings each week. The goal is not to give you a comprehensive treatment of every topic in genetics, but rather examine a cross section of the approaches that modern molecular biologists use to study current questions in their field.
