Academic Forgiveness Policies
Fredonia offers three options to help undergraduate students repair their academic records: First-Year Student Forgiveness, the Restart Option, and Academic Bankruptcy.
- Students may use only one of the three options during their undergraduate career.
- Forms are available to active students through your Google Drive. Follow the instructions at the beginning of each form regarding completion and sharing of the document.
- Students initiate the application process for any Academic Forgiveness Policy, after speaking with their academic advisor.
- When a course previously passed with a grade of D-, D, or D+, it is excluded from the GPA calculation. Under any of these policies, credit is lost for those courses and they will not count towards any degree requirements, including general education.
